MCATEER HECTOR - Died 5th May 2025. Late of Ards Drive, Newtownabbey. Beloved husband of Evelyn, much loved father of Norman and Sandy, cherished father-in-law of Samantha and Alan, devoted grandfather of Dylan and Ethan and great-grandfather of Betty. A Funeral Service will be held in Newtownabbey Crematorium on Tuesday 13th May at 10am. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to NI Chest, Heart & Stroke c/o Stephen McCosh Funeral Directors, 11 Jennings Park, Newtownabbey, BT37 0NB. Will be sadly missed by his loving family circle. Last night as I lay sleeping an angel came to me, I opened my eyes and stared at him wondering who he could be, I looked a little closer and I saw a familiar face, he was my husband Hector saying he’d found his perfect place, he told me he was happy and asked me not to cry, he said his pain was over so I said my last goodbye xx
