RIP Uncle Joe. You were always fun to be around, telling jokes and stories, probably telling me more about water effluent than I needed or wanted to know. You and Auntie Val were quite the double act, I remember meeting you both in a pub in Dewsbury one night when I didn’t even know I was in Dewsbury! A surprise for all 3 of us. You’ll be greatly missed.

R.i.p. Uncle Joe, thank you for always being there for me, showing me how to do and fix most things, trips to the sea side, go karting, your love for rugby and more. We all miss you, the world will not be the same without you

  • Thank you to all that gave up their valueable time to attend my dad's funeral service. He would have been overwhelmed and overjoyed to see so many family, friends and neighbours in attendance for him. The final count for collection at the service was £440. Thank you to you all.

Joe was the best neighbour anyone could possibly wish for. We met him the day we moved in whilst he was helping his old neighbours ‘who were late’ moving out. Joe offered his help numerous times over the years even extending his help to our son Michael. They quickly formed a close bond. They were very much alike. Honest genuine caring people. It warmed our hearts to see the regard they had for each other. We were mega chuffed whenever we were able to repay a favour to Joe. It broke our hearts when Lee and Ann ( bless them ) came to tell us personally that Joe had died. Joe was ‘a one off.’ A truly exceptional very brave man.
I loved listening to him talking about Val, how much he’d loved her, what a lucky man he was to have met her. The fantastic adventures they had together.
Like their lovely son Lee said…..it’s nice to think that they are ‘together’ again? We’re sure they are. Love you Joe xxx Margaret and Mick xxx
