In loving memory of Gisela Melvin who sadly passed away on 13th April 2025. A proud Omi who led a full and active life travelling all over the world, with a passion for opera and a love of chocolate!

Woodbrook Road was never the same when you left. Gone but never forgotten, Gisela you were a force of nature and you are missed. Love from Andrea and Kevin xx

It’s hard to put into words what it means to lose someone who has simply always been there. Gisela was part of my life from the very beginning — a constant presence, a wonderful companion and in so many ways, family. She brought colour, mischievousness and laughter to every chapter of my life.

She and my mum shared a rare and beautiful friendship — one that stood the test of time, filled with joy, loyalty and love. It was a pleasure and a privilege to take them both on so many adventures over the years, exploring European cities and making wonderful memories. Whether we were getting lost in the backstreets of Dresden or sitting at a café in Paris, her company always made the world feel more vibrant.

Her loss leaves a space that no one else can fill but I will carry her memory with me always — in stories, in photographs, and in quiet moments that remind me of her feisty spirit and her wonderful sense of humour.

With love
Paula
