In loving memory of Frederick John Hampton, known as John, born in Iping, West Sussex.

John sadly passed away on 17th April 2025 in Nottingham, age 85, after a long illness.

A hardworking painter and decorator in Surrey for many years, John was also a classic van enthusiast who enjoyed restoring vans and attending vintage car rallies.

Predeceased by his beloved wife, Anne; a dearly loved dad to Leigh; and treasured grandad to Faye, Kirsty and Carrie; and great grandad to Isla.

He will be dearly missed by us all, especially his laugh and cheeky sense of humour.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.

Thank you for everything you have done for me dad.
Although, times were hard, you and mum always worked so very hard to ensure I was cared for and loved.
I have so many happy memories to cherish.
So sorry I did not get to say goodbye properly.
Make sure you sleep tight and keep your feet up!
Love you lots! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
