In loving memory of Gerry McGuinness who sadly passed away on 16th April 2025, London. Gerry came to London as a young boy with big dreams. He started working in the pubs and soon found the love of his life Liz. Together they built successful businesses in the hospitality industry making many good friends along the way. Those who had the pleasure of meeting Gerry will remember the drinks, the laughter, the horses and his beloved Manchester United! May your soul rest in eternal peace.
Gerry will be returning home to Ireland on Friday 25th April.

John Walsh wrote

From the Sunday afternoon lock-ins at the Duke of Cambridge to the Kings Arms and all the pubs in between Gerry was a fantastic guvnor of a pub ... He knew everyone by first name and welcomed everyone to his pubs ... Gerry always kept a 'tidy house' where laughter rather than argument was the order of the day ... as we know Gerry loved Man Utd and the horses and he would follow his horse The White Bear off a cliff ... he loved that horse and every time it ran he would tell all the regulars to back it ... more losses than wins though.

Gerry will be missed by so many but never forgotten ... sympathies to Liz, Michael and all his family ... his smile will always remain ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ชโšฝ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿ€๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿบ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ™

  • Salome, A very deserving send off from his many friends and family this side of the waters. The piper and sentiments were emotional. God go with you all as Gerry travels his final journey to Ireland. Prayers for strength through the days ahead ๐Ÿ™ โค๏ธ Packie and Bridget Boyle

Dearest Liz, Michael & all the family & friends my sincere condolences to you on Gerry's passing. He was always so welcoming to me in his pubs. I remember especially the first time a good few years ago, I went to the Royal oak on my own to watch my County Limerick play hurling, he made me feel so comfortable I kept coming back. He used to bet on Limerick winning the all Ireland & they did for a few years! Rest in peace good man ๐Ÿ™โค๏ธ
