Several of us might live longer than Mike - but few will pack into life more achievements, adventures, activities and laughs than he did. He also had to endured tragedies - but yet his optimism, energy and sense of fun prevailed. An inspirational "big brother" X

My sincere condolences to the family. I have fond memories of Mike who was on my II(AC) Sqn Flt at Laarbruch flying Phantoms from April 1971. He was a good pilot and team player with his signature moustache. I did his theatre check from RAF Bruggen on 13 Apr 71. He was a good man and will be missed by all those who served with him at Laarbruch. Those were happy days.

  • Hi Sandy, thank you so much for sharing those words and memories. It really means a lot. Although I wasn’t born till ‘75 I know he loved flying Phantoms. I do remember that moustache though! Justin Webb

I served with Sqdn Ldr Webb from 1970 to 73 on 2 Sqdn Phantoms, although only as a lowly ground engineer, I remember him well.
Rest in peace.
