In loving memory of Geoffrey Thomas Young who sadly passed away on Friday 21st March 2025, aged 73 years.
Born in Wells-next-the-Sea in Norfolk, Geoff grew up with a love of nature.
As a young boy he moved to Portsmouth and later joined the Army, serving in Germany for a time with the Royal Engineers.
His career path began with lorry driving and eventually saw him develop his own business as a training adviser to the warehousing and distribution sector. This would also involve working to deliver apprenticeships to young adults. An area in which he was well respected.
Geoff was an avid walker in his younger days, enjoying the Peak District and and further afield. His enjoyment of the outdoors and nature led to him completing the entire Pennine Way. His determination to maintain his mobility whilst living with MS was an inspiration, never losing hope or complaining when inevitable challenges arose.
He was always very well thought of by many colleagues and friends, due to his work with young adults in training, map reading skills, kindness towards others and dry sense of humour.
He is much missed by his family and friends. We wish him peace after many challenges.

Sending thanks from the family of my Dad for all the donations to the Leicestershire MS Therapy Centre.
Dad made use of the physiotherapy facilities there which afforded him a great deal of help.
The donations will go towards equipping the centre with a new treadmill, offering others the opportunity to build their strength.

With love and thanks to all who have donated.

Rebecca x
