Dear friends and family of our beautiful Daisy who we sadly said our final farewell to on 20th March 2025. This is certainly not her full obituary; we will be recalling precious memories over the next few weeks to share with you all when we celebrate her long and colourful life.

However, we wanted to remind everyone of the date and time of Daisy’s funeral which will be held on the 24th of April 2025 at Porchester Crematorium South chapel at 1pm. Friends and family are then invited to join us to celebrate Daisy’s incredible life from 2pm at the Orange Grove Hotel and Gardens Coldeast Drive, Sarisbury, Southampton SO31 7PT.

The dress code is smart, but Daisy said do not feel you have to wear black.

As opposed to flowers, Daisy mentioned that if you feel you want to make a voluntary donation to Young Epilepsy, this would be very much appreciated. This charity holds significant value to Daisy as her Granddaughter Becca has epilepsy, and also works for them as an organisation. Young Epilepsy are a very small charity that support children and young adults to reach their full potential.

Please use this platform to leave any tributes you have for Daisy from words to pictures. It will offer us all a great deal of comfort to read these and remember Daisy for the incredible lady she was that touched so many of lives all over the world.

We would all like to thank you for the care already shown to Daisy’s immediate family by so many. We know that Daisy would have really appreciated the compassion and support shown to her family at this difficult time.

We hope as many of you as possible can join us as we celebrate a truly inspiring and strong lady on the 24th April. Please either use the RSVP service on this platform or let the family know you will be attending. Please also let us know if you have any dietary requirements, allergies or you require any additional support to attend.

With love to all xxx

Mama Daisy, thank you for being such a wonderful person to me. You loved me like your own, and treated me with kindness I didn’t know existed. Thank you for taking me home with you and Sarah on weekends and filling my heart with love. Thank you for including me and loving me and for being another Mama to me. So many memories to name but the biggest and most important was kindness and love and support and treating me as your own. That meant the world to me. I couldn’t be at funeral in person nor with your family virtually as I was at work, but I just saw a replay and tears streamed down my face. My love for you will never fade. Thank you Mama Daisy for being a rock during a tumultuous time of my life. Love you. Anna

  • Darling Anna, what beautiful words. Mum did love you as a daughter and you were so very special to her. I was so pleased she managed to send you that message recently. She keep your cards you sent you over the years as she did with all those close to her. We have so many happy treasured memories that are all our ours to keep forever. Thank you for your very kind donation too, a very worthy cause close to Mums heart. xxxx

I have strong memories of Daisy in my childhood as closest sister to my mum. She was like a second mum when I was little and meant a lot to me.

Always colourful in character and stylish in dress. Positive, fun, warm, carefree, full of life and somewhat mischievous!

Never took any nonsense however! Always knew what she wanted and had the courage to go out and get it.

Daisy added richness to our lives and provided much needed support. She and Shirley were like 2 naughty kids together, getting high on hundreds of cups of tea and endless cigarettes. Being ‘free’ meant staying up literally all night talking together.

  • This is such a fantastic tribute to read Trish! Mum spoke so often of you over the years with so much love. I recall when Luke was born how joyful she felt for you. I also remember talking to her after my wedding and saying how much fun you had dancing there and she said that you have always been the life and soul of a party! So true about Mums courage, she was incredibly brave and determined - Its one of the many things we all love about her and the mischievousness! Thank you for writing this, we will all treasure it xx

Dear Auntie Daisy,
When I think of you I think of not only Daisies in the meadow, but also bluebells daffodils, snowdrops and primroses, all dancing in the sunshine and the breeze, with a sense of freedom. Even dancing by the light of the moon. You always wanted to be a dancer and your spirit confirmed that and will always live on.
I hear chatter, giggles and laughter. Your mischievous sense of humour and the joy you brought to your sister Joan, as one of her baby sisters, in the days when life was never easy for anyone. As a little girl I would awake to the sounds and always knew it was a happy joyous time.
The numerous visits I made to you after she had passed too early, a few years before, reminded me of that joy you brought her.
We could talk and laugh all day and night, at times. Your endless patience, faith and positivity was infectious. This continued when possible, over the years.
You knew your priorities and how to enjoy life, and what a life you had, living in, and visiting many places in the World. You became like a second Mum to many, with the ability to make them all feel special. You never judged, only accepted and encouraged.
A life long hard worker, but you still lived with an endless sense of fun, and ability to get along with people of all ages, which kept you young at heart . As a super great gran you enjoyed trying the children’s scooter, even though you were wearing heels. You remained forever young, even when times were tough. You still bounced back up like a Daisy from the meadow.
Holding your faith dear, there was never a moment of doubt in your mind.
Spring was your favourite time and you have now progressed to that new Spring.

We have such fond memories of Daisy. We met in Bulgaria through the kids. Daisy and I spent a lot of time together in Varna as my partner in crime on shopping trips, eating out, introducing me to fortune telling, the odd tipple and a good old chat. Daisy was such a loving soul that always lived life to the full! Sending you a huge cwtch x
