I am devastated and heart broken at the loss of Anthony. I am extremely dissapointed that I could not make it over from Belfast to be at his funeral. But havi g Multiple Sclerosis just made it impossible.
I've so many happy, funny and hysterical memories about him.
Here are a few.....
I remember he was wearing rollerblades near my parents house and he fell over and hurt himself, but not badly. I ended up having to carry him back to his mum and dads house he thought it was hysterical!
Then there was every school morning Anthony and his sister Julie would get the same bus as me to school (QEMS). There was an old man that got on the bus around the Leyfields, Masfield Drive I think. The old man would strangly lick the air, Anthony took it upon himself to copy the old man and call him the fish! Had me in stitches! The old fella stank of wee wee as well, poor old man!
Whilst at my parents house he found a big cuddly toy that reminded him of the 80's early 90's kids show called Rosie and Jim, he kept on and on about them, cracking jokes, had me in hysterics!
Finally at my parents house, unknown to me, he found my pellet gun. Decided it would be a laugh to load it and shoot me with it. Luckily for him it didn't hurt and I saw the funny side!
I had not seen Anthony for over 30 years and I will miss him forever.
