It is with great sadness that my dearly beloved husband, David Hughes, passed away on the 27th of February. Dave died from Cancer and I miss him deeply. Donations to Heart of Kent Hospice who helped Dave in his final weeks would be greatly appreciated.

Dad, there are no words that will ever be able to explain how much I am going to miss you. I love you more than you will ever know and will continue to love you for eternity. Whenever I feel sad, I remember how lucky I was to have you as my Dad and for that I will be forever grateful. You did not deserve the hand you were dealt Dad but you were so brave, strong and fought so hard until you couldn’t fight anymore. l have been fortunate to have known as a friend since the 1950's where we were Grove Park MCC members. He and l raced competed as scrambles riders as well as met up at motorcycle events over the years. He was always well respected and a total gentleman well known for his immaculate bike preparation. When one rode against him he was always fair, never employed dirty tactics and was hard to catch. He was one of a rare breed who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
