Always had a smile.on his face and a beer in hand. My funniest moment us when I had finished work at.the sun pub and Mark had left with us all, pubs were all shut and noone could get a cab home.so we all sat on the benches outside the greyhound hatting away. Well the silly sod went to get up off the bench and completely stacked it into the plant pots rolling around on the floor shouting for someone to pick him up... we did help eventually after laughing our butt's off. There is only one Mark Matthess and thank goodness because this world was only ready for 1. What a character warmest and genuine man on this planet.

I knew Mark all my life and when I think of him all I see is great dance moves, a big smile and 'hello darling!'. One memory that always takes centre stage is we were dancing at a wedding when Mark decided to climb up the pillar and dance off it like a rodeo cowboy... that will forever live with me as a memory I look back on to make my day brighter.

  • THIS is what I was talking about a couple of weeks ago! At the time, I thought it might have been Georgia's wedding, but layer i remembered it was Harry's. A proper 'Dirty Dancing Lift' moment... except inanimate pillars don't 'lift,' so he fell on his a*se... not that he noticed 🤣🤣🤣

To my brother in comic arms.
Never a day past without a real pant wetting belly laugh (at other people's expense). I'm heartbroken you've gone but I can close my eyes and remember our time together and belly laugh again until my bladder objects. Love ya big nose. Ron x
