I echo the thoughts and sentiments expressed by others. My thoughts are with Emma family Eddie Sarah and all of those like myself were lucky enough to have benefited from having our lives enriched by knowing Simon and recognising the contribution he made to our lives and those of others. I was both heartened and uplifted by Emma’s wonderful tribute.
Simon had a wonderful sense of humour, zest for life and passion, never more evident when discussing family, his profession, politics and his beloved Stags.
He packed so much into his life and still had so much more to give.
A true friend to many and a wonderful example of a human being.

I am pleased to say I knew Simon for over 25years, both as he became a Partner at Elliot Mather solicitors with Mary Honeyben, and as he progressed and helped steer and develop the Criminal Advocacy department of this 100 year old firm with Bertie, Julie and Jon. Simon embraced change and strongly believed in equality, and became a good friend, and sharing family times and local events which made everyones life better. As he passes I give thanks for his strong spirit, fairness and steadfastness, and wish all the best to his loving family, friends, and work colleagues. x
