Broxbourne Engineers and Printers donated £400 in memory of Paul

In memory of our friend and colleague Paul saffery. This donation is over and above monthly monies Levied by the rank and file Engineers and Printers of Newsprinters Holdings Broxbourne. Which has been used to assist their workmates in the time of their most need.

The amount of money contributed is testimony to how much affection Paul was held by us all on the shopfloor.

From Off stone to End of run. A good engineer and a great bloke.

  • Saff, there were several occasions when you drove us home from work that I feared this day would come a lot sooner for both of us! I can now look back on my futile attempts to keep you conscious behind the wheel with a smile. You’re a top bloke and we’re all going to miss you. Rest up now mate. Jamie F.x

RIP Big Saff. Countless fond memories helping you, and Pat, with various things from fixing Pat's car and ripping the headlight out and moving him into his first house, through to piggy backing off your Goodwood Grandstand passes. You'll be dearly missed by all that knew you and I'm sure Pat will continue to do you proud as he always does.

Paul - we met when we were just boys at school and then again through family and shared grandchildren. You were a man of great values and the way you handled your illness was an example to all. Will always remember your fun approach to life - you were a true gentleman and will be missed by all who knew you. Rest in peace mate. Love from Steve, Debbie and all our family.

So shocked to hear of the sad news of Paul's passing. Whilst I have not seen him for a few years, I will always remember our school years. Both him and Martin form some very happy boyhood memories. Rest in peace Paul
