Mike you will be sadly missed

Life seems so unfair at times when events such as these occur. Be strong Mary and all will be well in the future.

'Death is that state in which one exists only in the memory of others, which is why it is not an end. No goodbyes, just good memories.'

Mike / Grandpa - You fought to your last breath and leave us with countless good memories. Thank you for your love, kindness, guidance and fun.

Be at peace now (or if you would prefer, reborn on a distant world as the best Dr Who ever!) Xxx

Michael was really known to us as Mr Atkin as he taught our daughters. They loved him as he was kind, understanding, inspirational and really went out of his way to give support and challenge where needed. We talk about him in revered tones always preceding his name with 'the lovely Mr Atkin'. The world will be a sadder place without him and it is a cruel trick of fate that he had years of battling such an awful illness. But the emails we received were always so cheery. Our hearts go out to his family and Mary, in particular. Sending love and our very best wishes. Lisa & Pete and the Behague clan

Michael did not deserve to have his life cut short by this awful illness. I hope by giving in his name we can help with further research and funding towards finding a cure or medication that halts the illness in its tracks.
