In loving memory of Dave Arnold who died on 24th September 2024. Born in Leamington Spa in late 1951. Dave spent his first years in Whitnash living with his mum and dad and paternal grandmother. He talked really fondly about his cousins and 'the Crowleys' - being an only child, his friends and family were really important in his life.
Dave left Leamington to go to University in Manchester and mis-spent his time there watching bands and making even more lasting friendships such as Vince and Anne. In Leamington his work brought him into contact with new friends from work, one of whom (John Walsh) became his future best man and long time friend. After about a decade back in Leamington, Dave found a new job opportunity in London and met Gillian, his future wife there. They went to live in Wanstead and built new and lasting relationships with the Witton-Daurii and with the Lees, the Tennant/Hayes and many many more.
A really important group of friends joined the party at this point when Dave was introduced to 'the firemen' and friends and spouses. He partied through the 90's whilst building a real love of walking in the mountains.
Dave's work was mostly involved with physics, and this allowed him to study and advance his career. Through work dave met Kevin and Tim, Wally and Barry and the team from St Georges where he ended his career.
Friendships were very very special to Dave.
Throughout, Dave's enduring love has been for music. His taste was eclectic and his influence has gone far and wide.
The many friends, families and children that Dave has influenced will truely miss him.
