Peacefully at home, with loved ones at his side, on September 12th aged 87 years, Forbes. The dearly loved husband of the late Delia, adored dad of Anna, treasured grandad of Ross Forbes and his wife Hayley, cherished great-grandad of Lucy Delia. A dear friend and mentor to many. Forever in our hearts.
Family and friends please meet on Wednesday September 25th for service Sunderland Crematorium at 2:00pm. Family flowers only, donations in lieu kindly received for Bright Red. A donation box will be available at the crematorium. All are welcome to continue the celebration of Forbes’ life and join the family for refreshments in Houghton Rugby Club.

Bless you Forbes, so sad to hear of your passing, I didn’t know till today, you sent such a lovely card to my mum when my dad passed in June 2024, you asked mum to keep in touch, I tried to call you yesterday to tell you Mum sadly passed on 24.02/25. Has a family we had amazing times in Scourie, we visited your home and you came to ours in London, Anna if you read this I send you love and wishes, you would have known me as Mandy Anderson xx
