We are so sorry to hear of Mr Plowden's passing, the boys can clearly remember their history lessons, a testimony to an excellent teacher. Sending our condolences to his family.

I learnt a lot from you, both as a student and then a colleague. Thank you for being such a lovely man, I hope you are resting in peace Richard.

I have missed our exchange of morning greetings as I walked passed your classroom ever since you retired. I still find myself saying it to myself and glancing in if the door is open. I am so sorry you did not get to enjoy your retirement as fully as we all wished for you. You were a great teacher to so many, and have left an imprint of the great Mr P in everyone's hearts.

Percy- your funny dry comments , your raised eyebrow at the latest Hilary exploits, your warmth, your kindness you made a difference to mine and other people's times at outward bound. And later spending time with you in London, your sardonic take on things was always a tonic. I felt lucky to have known you. My heart goes out to your family and other loved ones

Dearest Perce,
So glad that time was spent with you recently, and have the fondest memories of sharing a French baguette and smelly cheese with you.
Always a special place in my heart.
Rachie as you called me
