In loving memory of Lisa Smith who sadly passed away on 12th July 2024, aged 48 years.

As would be Lisa's wish, there will be no funeral service prior to her cremation at Bretby Crematorium, so please do not attend. However, if you would like to remember Lisa privately, her cremation will take place at 9am on Wednesday 31st July and please do light a candle, write a message or post a photo, in her memory, using the links on this page.

Unfortunately, Lisa had an undiagnosed brain aneurysm, which ruptured and left her with catastrophic brain damage.
If you wish to donate in memory of Lisa please use the link provided, which will direct you to Just Giving. As a family, we have chosen Headway - the brain injury charity - to receive any money raised.
Lisa will always be loved, and missed by many 💜

What a sad day. On paper Lisa and I should never have been friends. I'm the girlfriend of her ex (Josh's Dad), so surely we'd be wary of each other and surely that would affect Josh seeing his Dad when we moved in together! Yet none of that happened. I remember the first time I met Lisa briefly. She'd offered Matt and I tickets to Josh's nativity and was there to pick him up. We said hi and how are you and the world didn't end when we were civil! I was thrilled.

Over the years we managed against the odds to become friends. We shared numbers we chatted and always had each other's backs.

I am so immensely proud that Lisa helped this happen because genuinely I dont know many people who would be so warm and welcoming in those circumstances. Whatever was best for Josh. Always.

I'm so sad for her family, and for all her sons but know this. She always spoke to me about how proud she was of all of them. She loved her sons so much and it shone out of her.

I'm so proud we were friends Lisa. Xx

Light up the sky like you did the world of every life you entered. Play on with the tambourine until we meet again. An hour to have known you and called you a friend. Watch over us all and have fun up there.

Love always
