Susan,
We lost touch over 30 years ago when I went to off to nurse training and you went to university. Our mothers were best friends and I knew you since you were born. We had happy times in the holidays staying at each other's houses. I have great memories of us singing Abba songs, practicing make up on each other, helping in your Mum's shop (or rather, pinching the sweets!), talking about boys, you trying to improve my handwriting, putting on 'talent' shows for our parents, and talking about what we would do with our lives. You wanted to be a BBC tv reporter, bringing us the latest news from around the world. I am so sorry that you had times of depression and that your life ended as it did but I am glad that you had the joy of being a mother. I will remember your lovely smiling face with your beautiful blue eyes and blond hair. Rest in peace, gentle soul.
