WOOD JAMES McDONALD CLARKE (JIMMY) Died 28th April 2024. Late of Huss Court. Beloved husband of the late Annie, much loved father of Margaret, Jamie and Andrew and step-father of the late James and Robert, loving brother of Betty and the late John and a devoted grandfather and great grandfather. Funeral service to be held from Stephen McCosh Funeral Church 117-121 Shankill Road, Belfast BT13 1FD on Tuesday 7th May at 9.15am and afterwards to Roselawn Crematorium for 10.40am. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu if desired to Marie Curie c/o Stephen McCosh Funeral Directors (address above). Will be sadly missed by his loving family circle. Last night as I lay sleeping an angel came to me, I opened my eyes and stared at him wondering who he could be. I looked a little closer and I saw a familiar face, it was my father Jimmy saying he had found his perfect place. He told me he was happy and asked me not to cry, he said his pain was over, so I said my last goodbye.

A father is someone you look up to, no matter how tall you grow, he always provided me with a safe place to land and a hard place for which to launch. When my dad didn't have my hand, he had my back. Dad's are most ordinary men, turned by love into heroes, storytellers and singers of song.
Will love you forever and a day goodnight Da.
Love from Jamie and Liz x
