In loving memory of Gwen Briggs who sadly passed away on 22nd April 2024 at home, where she wanted to be. Gwen had been bravely battling Breast Cancer on and off for many years and it began to spread late last year and she passed peacefully and painlessly on the Monday morning.
Gwen was a wonderful loving wife and mother to John, Mike and Chris. She will be missed terribly by her family and many friends, but we all hold dear some lovely memories of her life and we encourage you to share them here along with any photo's you wish to add.
As many of you know Gwen was a lover of cats and instead of flowers she said she would prefer a donation to the Cats Protection charity - this can be done by the JustGiving link on this site.

PS. The wake will be held at The Railway in Lowdham (https://railwaylowdham.co.uk/) at 11:30 onwards.
PPS. The funeral cortege will leave Shenfield Gardens at 9:40am and the service will begin at 10am at Gedling Crematorium

Gwen was such a kindred spirit… I have never met her but have been friends for 7 years on FB… she was so kind and gracious.. we were connected by our love for cats…my sincere condolences to her family❤️❤️❤️

Gwennie has been such a treasured lifelong friend & I’ve been privileged to enjoy so many fun & happy times with her. She has so bravely fought all her illnesses, & been a remarkable lady of spirit & style. Will never be forgotten.
