In Loving Memory of Barrie Jon Tingley.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barrie, on 29th March 2024, aged 54.

He leaves behind his much loved and cherished daughter Kaila,. He was a loving son to Valerie and David and a treasured brother to Paul and Steven as well as a mischievous brother in law to Michelle and Shelly. A fun and caring Uncle to Shelby, Taylor, Mason, Harrison, Jenson and Lincoln, he was a true family man in every sense.

Though his time with us was cut short, Barrie will be remembered for his infectious personality and his absence leaves a void that can never be filled.

Barrie’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

The funeral service will be held on 30th April at Seven Hills Crematorium at 11.15am.
Please dress smart casual, no need for ties.
Family flowers only, with any donations to go to Suffolk Mind please, via the 'Donate Now' tab on this page.
All are welcome at the Wake afterwards to help us celebrate Barrie’s life and tell fond stories of his time with us all, at Venue 16 , Tuddenham Road from 1.30pm.

Barrie, I never told you this but I kinda wanted to be like you when I grew up. You were good at football and cricket and even looked good with a mullet. Even though you drove a bogey green chevette and supported the wrong team me and Stef admired you so much as young impressionable kids. A hit with the ladies, a natural sportsman and always great fun to be around. I had the pleasure of playing golf with you in recent years and you were great company on and off the course even if you did drive the ball like Miss Daisy. “Oh you got hold of that one!” you would say on my practice swing with perfect timing. Always asking about me and my family, it’s rare for people to genuinely take an interest in others lives these days, but you always seemed to care. Nobody can imagine your internal struggles and for that reason alone I admire you ever more. I hope now you have found peace. You will always be in our hearts. RIP to my best mates brother and my pal, you made a positive mark on many, I just hope you realised that. You will be hugely missed x

Not sure what to say Barrie that hasn’t already been said.

Fun, cheeky, caring, passionate, we had some good times and still can’t believe you are gone.

Rest easy now mate, your memory will live on through your friends and family.

Still doesn’t seem real Baz I can’t believe you’re gone mate will miss the banter the laughter and the hug hellos or goodbye instead of a handshake everytime because “we’re family we don’t handshake” lots of funny memories of you mate and will always remember those times! It’s going to be very surreal and difficult tomorrow mate, but there will be absolutely tonnes of people there who’s life you have brightened to pay there respects and memories I’m sure! Lots of love Chaz abbie and the kiddies ❤️

I still can’t understand or believe that you've left us mate, your infectious laughter, and the fun you brought into every moment will forever be remembered.
I’m gutted that we won’t get another chance to make more memories, but I will always cherish the time you made for me and my family, that will never be forgotten!
Although your presence has gone your spirit and mischief will hopefully never leave me!! - Knowing you, you’re already cracking jokes and having fun with the angels up there….. we’ll take them on a big out when the time comes!!

Dear Badger

It is with a heavy heart that I bid farewell to you my cherished friend who brought boundless energy, joy, and sometimes a touch of jeopardy into my life. For over two decades, you illuminated my world with your unique spirit, turning every gathering into a rollercoaster of laughter and unexpected adventures.

Your presence was the very essence of vitality, infusing each occasion with excitement and unpredictability. From our fun escapades to our deepest conversations, you were the heartbeat of so many friendships, radiating warmth and charisma wherever you went.

I'll forever treasure the countless memories we created together, not least our discussions about life and of course football. Your love for the game, whether played on the field or debated in our weekly rituals of fantasy football, brought unparalleled banter and camaraderie between us. And who could forget our annual TFF £20 bet, where I was more often than not on the receiving end of your pained face as you handed over the cash to me as winner, captured in countless photos that now hold bittersweet memories.

I'm sure many friends like me felt what made you truly special was your ability to laugh at yourself, always ready to join in the fun and keep the mood light. Your humility and good humour endeared you to everyone around you, making every moment in your presence a joy.

Despite the occasional uncertainty of where the night could lead, your zest for life was beyond infectious, drawing me and others into experiences we’ll never forget. Though some adventures may have ended with a twist, it was all part of the hilarious journey we shared together.

Though you faced hardships that many couldn't fathom, your indomitable spirit shone brightly, leaving an everlasting imprint on mine and other peoples heart.

Your presence brought light into both my own and my family's life in recent years, and your memory will forever be cherished. Rest peacefully now, dear friend, knowing that you were and will always be loved and deeply missed."

Sparksey
