Our dear Bryn Abbott, 74, sadly passed away, peacefully, on 24 March 2024.

Bryn was born on 22 January 1950 at Marehay in Derbyshire, to Elaine and Eric Abbott, and spent his childhood growing up in Ripley with his younger sister, Yvonne. Bryn trained and worked his entire 40 year career as an Aero Engineer at Rolls Royce in Derby. On 1 May 1976, he married his beloved Patricia Wyatt and they spent many happy years together, living in Draycott and then later in Trowell. Bryn is survived by his sister Yvonne, daughter Karly and son Darren, along with his three grandchildren, Freya, Isla and Jack whom he loved dearly.

Please feel free to leave a message below and share any special memories you may have.

The funeral service will be held at Trowell Church, followed by Bramcote Crematorium. Everyone is welcome to also join us afterwards at the Festival Inn, Trowell (Harry's Bar - opposite Trowell Church) to celebrate Bryn's life.

Fond memories of a great man.. Many a laugh including several at my own expense.. and the look of disdain I received when as a teenager I got covered in mud at Mallory… needless to say he wasn’t letting me get in his car like that. Best wishes xx

We will always have fabulous memories of the holiday in Ibiza where we arrived as strangers but left as friends . The holiday was filled with laughter especially when Bryn decided to go round a traffic island several times because he kept missing the exit road . Will miss our long chats on the phone .
