We will really miss you Grandad Dean and how you used to spoil us all the time like taking us out for a “snack” which would feed two people. Our favourite game with you was hunting for the cork from the fizzy wine in the back garden. We will miss the day trips that we would have with just us, you and nanny without our parents and we would go to different places in New Zealand so you got to see everything like going to Taupo and having a little picnic there and that you would always ask us for directions going back home from different places but only Duncan was able to tell you how to get home. We always felt safe with you around and know that you are looking over us both now. We will always remember you and your sense of humour and loving heart. We love you Grandad. Hannah and Duncan x

You will be missed by everyone who knows and loves you Dean. I’m very grateful that you let me marry your daughter Claire though I was scared about asking you. You were a good man with a loving heart who put everyone else first. We will try to take care of Carol as best we can for you just like you did. Sleep well Dean. Love Tony
