Sorry to learn from the Dewsbury Reporter Obituaries, the death of Shirley Stanley. We both knew Shirley and Gordon and their daughters Elizabeth and Judith well. Having owned the "OFF LICENCE SHOP" in North Road for almost 50 years and living in close proximity to where Gordon and Shirley and their two daughters lived we saw quite a lot of them.
We well remember their connections with the "Boys Brigade" and them marching on parade on many a Sunday morning in days gone by.
We are both in our 90s now and having lived for the past 20 years in Andalucia Spain, still keep in touch with events and happenings in and around the Dewsbury area. Kind regards to the family. Brian and Doreen Tattersfield.
