Difficult to convey adequately the depth of admiration and respect Catherine and I have for Eileen. A lifetime of kindness and consideration. A wonderful.humour and she always smiled with her eyes. She now takes her rightful place in the Pantheon, amongst so many friends. How wonderful that God called her home on Mother's Day, with Spurs winning 4 nil at Villa Park. Her spirit will live with us forever.

I have heard many words used to describe this special lady, wonderful, inspirational, remarkable, to name but a few. But I am extremely grateful, to have been fortunate enough, to be able to use the words “My Grandmother” in my description of her. I will cherish all our memories together and her phrases will live on. I won’t be able to go out in the rain without hearing her say “well we’re not sugar lumps!”

I can only echo what my sister Ruth has already said about Eileen. Such an interesting and inspiring lady, an Amroth stalwart, she will be greatly missed

Eileen became a wonderful friend to my parents Beti and Neil Furlong when they bought a caravan at Amroth Castle almost 50 years ago. My parents met Eileen at the chapel in Amroth where my mother sometimes played the organ. Eileen became a friend to the whole family who have benefitted from countless pots of jam and marmalade. Eileen was a very special and delightful person in so many ways and our family feel very privileged to have known her.

Eileen was such a wonderful and caring friend for many years of my late mother, Maisie Hayward, who also lived in Amroth with husband, Gil. Carole and I have so enjoyed seeing Eileen when returning to Pembrokeshire for our own family holidays and will her so much and being made so welcome. An amazing and talented lady with such a zest for life. So many happy memories to cherish and share. John & Carole xx
