In loving memory of Betty Elliott who sadly passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on 4th March 2024. Born in Horwich in 1940 to the parents of Olive and Albert Wooff, Betty was one of 8 children. She married her childhood sweetheart Thomas Elliott at the age of 21. In 2021 they celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary. Betty and Thomas have 5 children, 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was the loveliest wife, mum, gran, sister and friend who will be sorely missed by all.
Betty is currently in a chapel of rest at Deighan's Funeral Parlour, Horwich. Her funeral service will take place on Thursday 21st March 2024, at St Catherine's Church, Horwich. The service starts at 2.45 pm, followed by her committal at Howe Bridge Crematorium on Lovers' Lane, Atherton. The family then invite you to join them for food and drink at Black Edge Brewery to raise a glass (or cup) in Betty's memory.
As the funeral will take place at the start of spring, a favourite time for Betty, let's make it a beautiful day of colour, there is no need to wear black.
