Love to Adam who has lost so much in the last few years.
I stayed outside tire funeral. I didn’t want to look at the managers of the care home that made our life hell.
Love you Archie. I’m so sorry.
I can’t believe I will never see you again.
I let you down.
I should have tried harder
You said I was a brother to you. And we were family
I should have looked after you more.
Too busy with my own life.
I’m so sorry.

I worked with Archie for six years in Golfhill Care Home. He was a gentleman and looked after his residents as though they were a member of his own family. He was a great laugh and it was a pleasure to work with him.We had a great wee team on night shift and Archie could be counted on to help out when ever needed. We shared a love of Celtic and loved to talk about the games. Rest in peace ☘️💚🙏

  • Thank you Jodie for your kind words. That definitely sounds like our Archie, he used to love telling a wee story and once he started talking about his love of Elvis it was hard to get him to stop, I don’t think there was anything he didn’t know about him.

  • Thank you so much for your kind words Ian. I’m sure he’ll be up there with our mum, dad and brother Alfie listening to Elvis and yes he’ll probably have a wee cheeky Jack Daniel’s in his hand. See you Thursday.
