You had a lovely send off so many people such love sent your way,I will miss you but you will always be in my heart. Rest easy now until we meet again ilove you ❤️

Dearest Uncle Butch,
So many fond memories of you growing up - down the van, up at your house, at work with Dad on a Saturday and bumping into you at your beloved Millwall. Wherever it was you’d always be having to pull your strides up because they were never where you needed them to be!
It’s difficult to articulate in words the strength of the love in the house for you when you passed.
I think that says everything you need to know about who you were and how everyone felt about you. Rest easy mate.

Dear Uncle Butch

I didn’t see you as much as I’d have liked, as spending time with you and your wonderful family is always such fun.

It’s testament to you and Lynn for producing such a strong team, the real definition of what a family should be.

I’ll always remember our day at the play-off finals, Millwall VS Bradford and you being there for our special day when I became a Groombridge.

My lovely baby brother Butch. I was there when you were born. Aunt Harriet brought you down to the front room in Wells Way and held you up to the window. She said he's got big hands he'll be a theif. Fast forward to when I got married and moved out and you sold all my records for a shilling each. We just had a laugh about it. As a family we have been very close which makes it so hard to accept you have gone. Our great memories will get us through this. We can look back at all the happiness we as a family have shared. I feel very privileged to call you my brother and I will be here for your family.
Sleep tight my baby. I am glad I was with you at the end. You will never be forgotten.

I did get to say goodbye. I take comfort from that since you’ve been in my life for 53 years. I remember those early days…you playing cards with Eamon, Mac and Mike…and the gigs we went too. Spending time with the girls at Coghurst. Where have all those years gone? So many happy memories I’ve got of you. What a brother-in-law. I knew and loved you very much
