On 23rd February 2024, with her loved ones at her side, at Kirkwood Hospice, of Mirfield, aged 59 years, Nicola, beloved daughter of the late John and Eileen McGrath, devoted and cherished mum of Daniel and Emma, much loved partner of Steve, dearly loved sister of Sean and Christian, remembered with great affection by Cameron, Macaulay and her twin grandchildren Luca and Mila, a very dear sister-in-law to Elaine and Zoe, auntie to Liam, Holly and Lucas plus a wonderful friend to many.
Requiem Mass will be celebrated at Holy Spirit RC Church, Heckmondwike on Friday 15th March 2024 at 12 noon followed by committal at Dewsbury Moor Crematorium. Relatives and friends please accept this intimation. Family flowers only please donations in lieu may be made online or placed in the collection box provided for the benefit of The Kirkwood.

Unfortunately I cannot be at your funeral and so I wanted to say out loud what I have been thinking since I heard the sad news of your passing. Some friends come and go, but some come and never leave you, even though you may not see them very often. But you were certainly the latter. You leave behind a huge legacy from the impact you had on everybody you met. You were such fun to be around and that is such a rare and magical quality. The ultimate irony is that whilst you called everybody else ‘gorgeous’, it was really you who was the gorgeous one. And every time I hear that word I will smile to myself, just as I have done for nearly 40 years, because it reminds me of you and the fun times we all had working in Bradford. I am not religious but I really hope I’m wrong and we can meet again. Until then, rest in peace Nicola x
