Derek John Griffin (15 Apr 1931 - 27 Dec 2023)

Passed away peacefully at Llandough Hospital, on 27th December 2023, aged 92 years.

It is with greatest sorrow that we announce the passing of our dearest, Derek John Griffin.
Derek, the devoted husband to the late Anne was well known for his many years as an Editor at the BBC, as well as his keen passion for sailing.
A much loved Dad of Pamela and the late Mark, beloved brother of Jean, Rhona and the late Graham, cherished Grandad of Jessica and loving Great Grandad of Lucia and Anna.
Derek will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funerary Arrangements:
Resting in the care of Lyndsay Ellis @ The Vale Funeral Service, Court Road, Barry until his service at St Tathan Church, St Athan on Tuesday 23rd January 2024 at 11:45pm, followed by a PRIVATE committal service

You are invited to The Three Horse Shoes, St Athan following the church service to continue sharing your memories when the family will join you later.
