I feel so honoured to have had Lesley in our lives and for the many wonderful memories. She was an incredible woman, so strong, intelligent and kind and the best honorary family you could ask for. Lesley thank you for everything, you will be so missed xxx

So sad to hear of Lesley's passing. I got to know Lesley and David through the HWAT connection, and always loved our conversations, and their kindness and hospitality. Love and best wishes to David and to family. In my thoughts, Dom.

  • Lesley will be sadly missed, her and Jean were like sisters to me as I was an only child, my mother and Lesley's were sisters, we kept in touch all the years from childhood to adulthood. Many happy memories. Our hearts go out to David in his loss, they were a perfect couple, Rest in Peace Lesley.

Lesley was a wonderful supportive friend from 1986 when working in close proximity at the RIBA. We stayed in touch over the years and in 2014 both David and Lesley attended the Degree Show at what is now the Kings Foundation School for Traditional Art which featured my own work. Our
last meeting was at the V&A to view the Raphael Cartoons. The personal books David passed on to me for my interest in Classicism facilitated first time discoveries of Platonic Geometry in the Mycenaean Treasury of Atreus, a substantial amount of work of similar findings have since been made in many other buildings which would never have happened without Lesley.
Lesley went out of her to help everyone and she was a close much trusted friend. My deepest sympathy goes to David and all the family for their sad loss. She will be retained with truly fondest and grateful memory.

I remember Lesley a truly good and supportive friend. Particularly when Barry, my husband died…sad to know she is no longer here.
I remember enjoyable visits with Lesley and David to the Corn Hall to see filmed live performances.
My condolences to David and all the family. Lesley was a strong character and quietly remained herself throughout her serious illness. My thoughts are with you all.
With much love
Lynda
