David was so knowledgeable but wore that knowledge so lightly, and worked so hard for the natural world he loved. A gentle, friendly man, I will always think of him fondly. A beautiful service, much love to Angela and Angharad, rest in peace David.

David was quite a character and I wish there were a candle in the shape of a fairly rare bird. I could imagine him spotting it and being pleased "A honey buzzard!" Sadly I am unable to attend his funeral but my thoughts will be with his family and other friends, Rest in Peace, David.
