It is with a heavy heart that we have to say goodbye to our beloved brother and uncle Burchell. Although it is difficult to come to terms with his passing, we are all so grateful for the time we were able to spend with him and the memories we have. In particular, our first ever trip to New York where you showed us around town and looked after us - we had so much fun staying with you. We all fondly remember when you came over from New York for Christmas and bought us our first barbie dolls.

Our dad had an amazing bond with his big brother and you two would spend hours talking on the phone, laughing and joking. Dad would always look forward to his annual trips going over to New York to spend time with you

You were a pillar of knowledge and intelligence and always knew the answer to every question.

Even though you’re no longer here we will always cherish the beautiful memories that we had.. our world won’t be the same without you here with us but we take comfort knowing you are resting and at peace.

We thank you Heavenly Father, for the life of our beloved brother and uncle and we pray that you grant him eternal rest and comfort.

My dear brother Burchell (Bob) you were a light & inspiration not only to this family but to so many both near and far. A man of great wisdom, the perfect big brother, always calm & caring, always thinking of others, never complained but took everything in your stride even when you were in pain. The memories we shared will never be forgotten. Love you to the moon & back my big brother. 💔💔💔
