I have just found out about Rob's passing. I am so sad and feel gutted. What a wonderful, kind and professional health & Safety officer who provided excellent advice for my Directorate at East Riding of Yorkshire Council. Rob provided me with a magnificent health and safety service. Finding out in the last 10 minutes leaves me extremely sad, but with wonderful memories. I send my very best wishes to family and friends close to Rob. A fantastic guy.

I didnt know what to write before and I'm not sure I do now. I'm glad I got to say goodbye today. I am left with great sadness for all the times in past years, the memories, camping trips, weekends away, Ethan nearly falling through the gap on the Goathland Station bridge, Josh letting go of the swing too soon and hurtling through the air at Staithes, times when things were good. Memories. Steve and Ian.

Dear Rob, I am still in shock and my heart is broken. You truly were a wonderful person, such a great friend with an infectious energy. I have the most amazing memories of you, the laughter, so much laughter. I wish I had come to see you sooner, I let a stupid storm put me off visiting. I love you Rob and I’m so sorry. H x

Rob was one of the kindest, most thoughtful people. I remember fondly our trip around Ireland and taking all the vowels out of the Scrabble bag to make it impossible for someone to win! The world is a less brighter place without Rob in it.

Whilst we haven’t seen each other in many years, I still reflect on the times we spent together, be that drinking in the Flea, dancing in the indie clubs in Manchester, gathering together on a Sunday evening in Poynton or walking in the Lakes. Knowing you are no longer with us leaves us all in a much poorer place, rest in peace Rob x

Dearest Rob, it's still so hard to accept you are no longer with us. I am so blessed to have known you as a colleague, mentor, fellow cleaning nerd, and above all, a wonderful friend for so long. You have inspired me always with your kindness, resilience, and ability to bring out the best in everyone you met. I'll miss you so much but I'll see you in the rainbows and hold you in my heart forever. Love always, Lauren xx

I am going to miss you so much, my friend, my gaffer, my driving buddy. We shared so much laughter and the daftest humour. You were an absolute rock to me and I will always remember and treasure that. You were the most thoughtful, caring and all round good blokes I have ever had the pleasure to meet. I always admired you as a father, a son, a friend and a colleague and wish I had told you that. My heart and thoughts go to your family and friends. Sleep tight my friend.
All my love, Joanne
