Remembering Kevin worked with him in Scotland, at Kishorn dry-dock on the West Coast and other big yards fabricating oil platforms in the 80’s and 90’s, he was a very competent Design Engineer and Lead draughtsman, time-served at Swan Hunters, well respected professional, latterly with Foster Wheeler in Aberdeen, now part of Amex PLC.
Kevin was well-liked in the design offices as in the fabrication shop-floor due to his ability to communicate equally from the yard to the Board room, aided by his charming personality and fellowship.
Anne Marie and Kevin were blessed with arrival of James and John on whom he doted and in their up-bringing, he imbued them with a strong sense of Christian morals and family.

Kevin, you were loved and are already sadly missed by those whose lives you touched.
My wife Kimberlie in Alabama adds, Kevin was the kindest soul and full of the joys of life.
Will meet again on God’s golden shore.
Roderick & Kimberlie

Farewell for now Kevin

I am proud and honoured to have called you my friend. One of the keenest and most inquisitive minds I have known. The love you had, and the way your voice lifted when you talked about 'Anny and the boys' was always a tonic. The world is sometimes a slightly emptier place without some people in it, and I will never forget the times we had, or the infectious laughter that brought light to any day.

I will miss you K

Grant x

Oh, let the sun beat down upon my face
And stars fill my dream
I'm a traveler of both time and space
To be where I have been
To sit with elders of the gentle race
This world has seldom seen
They talk of days for which they sit and wait
All will be revealed

Always fond of a challenging debate and frank discussion whether it be music, work or pretty much any subject. Kevin was one of life's personalities and a huge loss to all who knew him.
RIP Kevin. Catch you at the top of that Stairway to Heaven.
