In loving memory of Beryl Butterworth, wonderful wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great grandmother, who sadly passed away on 28th September 2023 in Southwell Court Care Home. Beryl was for many years sub-postmistress at the Post Office on Queen's Road in Beeston and since her retirement has lived in Burton Joyce.

Please feel welcome to join family and friends at the cremation in Gedling at 11am on October 27th and afterwards at the Ramsdale Park Golf Centre. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers will be gratefully accepted on the day or by arrangement with A W Lymn. They will be split 2:1 between Alzheimer's Research UK and the Activity Fund of Southwell Court Care Home which provided an enjoyable and stimulating programme for the residents. Beryl especially enjoyed the musical events and the reminiscence sessions.

I only met Beryl once and that was at the happy occasion of the marriage of her daughter to my brother. I was very pregnant at the time and I remember her kindness and care for me among all her many duties. I send love and best wishes to all the family.

  • Beryl was a lovely lady to care for. It was sad to see her deteriorate and eventually leave us. The memories we have are of a loving wife and mother. Our love and best wishes go to you al.l Kind Regards Margaret and all the staff in Southwell Court
