For my lovely dad I was his shadow when I was young passing him his tools when he was building things or mending the cars. We had great holidays, pick up over the turnstile at the villa. Love you more than words can say.

The pictures of Uncle Ted bring his voice straight back in my head and strong memories too. Get a load of those suits! He had style and panache. I thought he and Auntie Kath were glamourous in the 1970s and 80’s. When I first went to college in Birmingham the grant didn’t come through at the start of term and I went to see him at his work so he could lend me some money which Dad paid back. I remember him with his dogs too especially the spotty one. He loved their energy and they adored him. As a kid I remember he had a big laugh and was very funny. Mum, his sister, is ill and can’t be part of this process but I think she would want to pass on her very best wishes to everyone. She often used to talk about Ted reminiscing of when they were young and living at Jerry’s Lane Erdington. They spoke on the phone recently too. RIP Uncle Ted xx
