Josephine Florence King (10 Aug 1931 - 20 Sep 2023)

In loving memory of Josephine Florence King, born on 10th August 1931, and peacefully passing away at the age of 92 on 20th September 2023.

Jo was a vibrant soul, the younger sibling to her two brothers, Frank and Roy. She grew up under the care of her Auntie Pearl and Uncle Fred, who later welcomed Nigel into their family through adoption, and she held a deep affection for them all.

After school she began a career as a hairdresser and went onto meet and marry her late husband Norman. Their union was graced with three wonderful children, Ken, Rob, and Liz. She was a loving and devoted mother.

As the years went by, Jo's heart grew even bigger as she became a doting grandmother to four adoring grandchildren: Andrew, Chris, Emily, and Alicia. Later in life, she welcomed three precious great-grandchildren, William, Olivia, and Charlie.

Jo found solace and delight in her love for nature and gardening. She also had a profound love for the sea, cherishing holidays in the UK and, in particular, the Algarve, Portugal, where she spent significant time and created cherished memories with her daughter.

Most importantly, Jo's family meant the world to her. Her love touched everyone she knew, leaving a lasting impact. We'll deeply feel her absence, but we will forever hold dear the love she gave us and the precious moments we shared together.
