His funeral will be taking place on Friday 6th October at 11am in the Linn crematorium. We would like to invite you all to join us in the last celebration of his life. We kindly ask if you can wear something blue to honour his memory and love for his football team Glasgow Rangers. Thereafter, we will gather at the Penny Farthing (568 Cathcart road G42 8YG) to celebrate George’s life. All are welcome.
George was a loveable rogue who loved his family. He has left us with a lifetime of memories, and we are grateful for the amazing times we shared. He was loved by many, and we would love for you to share your memories of him too.
George was born on 18/4/73, he grew up in the east end of Glasgow before moving to Govanhill, a place where he called home. He had a great passion for going to the gym working out, posing for selfies and showing off his muscles!! He worked for Greggs for many years. He was always so well presented and liked nothing better than having new clothes. He was always up to mischief. Winding up anyone he possibly could for a laugh! He loved his food, our very own food snob. He enjoyed a pint and he watched the football in the pub with his pals. He was never short of a trebor strong mint to pass to his great nieces and nephews on every visit. George wasn’t a driver. However, he loved to be chauffeured about anywhere he went, with a click of his fingers had everyone running after him! He was our brown eyed boy.
He will be forever loved and deeply missed by all of his family and all people who knew him.
Please share your memories for us as a family to look back on.
Many thanks
Helen, David and family.
