So sorry I couldn’t attend the funeral in person. I watched it on the link and what a touching , moving and uplifting ceremony it was . Laura thought of everything , well organised right till the end ! Her saying ‘tidy classroom , tidy mind ‘ reminded me how every time I went to teach in her classroom it was always bright and cheerful but always immaculate and well organised - a reflection of her as a teacher and as a person. I will never forget how welcoming, warm and smiley she was .

We were fortunate to meet Laura through our cousin Liz Read and had a fabulous time with her in Spain. Laura and my daughter Liv (who is now 19) hit it off immediately and we’re so funny together! We knew what an amazing mother she would become x

In one of her typically thoughtful gestures, Laura gave this to me when I retired. It is on my sofa every day and will continue to be there. When I met you Laura, you were a school colleague, but you became a wonderful friend. You will be so very missed x
