In loving memory of John Nash who sadly passed away on 30th August 2023 aged 76 years. Loved and missed by his family and friends.

John really was a one-off ! We have now been married for nearly 45 years this September so I really am going to miss him. We met in 1976 that really long hot Summer and purchased our first house at 154 Perry Hill in Catford following which we moved to Chislehurst, then 150 Lennard Road, Beckenham and now in Dorking living at The Dutch House. John has been retired for many years and loved his game of bowls playing at Newdigate throughout the Summer and Donnyings in the Winter which he will sadly miss. Only recently on 1st August he won the John Hanson Trophy for two years on the trot and he was very proud of that.

Rest in peace John I am going to miss you so much as I won't be able to tell anyone off !!!

Love you John,
Anne xxx

My fabulous uncle John , I have so many happy memories of you when you lived with us when Debbie & I were young , setting the bed on fire with your cigarette, climbing through the window & breaking it , being in the pub far too long with Dad . They were the days . I remember when you met your soul mate Anne , we never thought she would put up with you but you proved us wrong . You was an amazing couple who should’ve gone on together for many more years . You have been taken far too early . I’m sure you are up there having lots of drinks & laughs with everyone that’s gone before you . You will be missed so much & will always have a very special place in my heart 💔I will love you always .

Where do I begin, Well John and I were great mates. We worked and played football together, not forgetting with his brothers and of course drunk together, and he was best man at my wedding. With lots of laughs and unforgettable memories along the way. That will be told by friends with great affection. I'm quite sure you're going to shake up the football and bowling gods when you arrive in heaven where all the good guys go because you're one of them. John mate you will be eternally missed but never forgotten. You were legend. RIP. Luv ya mate. Micky Wheeler

My earliest memory of John is when my children used to call him Magnum because they thought he looked like Tom Selleck in the TV series Magnum, PI. They were always so impressed that we had a real lookalike TV star in our family! John has always been a larger than life character and will be much missed by everyone who knew and loved him, especially Anne, Chris, Mick, Emma and Hannah and not forgetting Walter. 💙 xxx
