I’m absolutely devastated to tell you that my Dad sadly passed away at around 11pm and Saturday 22nd July 2023

He would have turned 76 on the 4th August.

Dad had been fighting bowel cancer for the last year and a half and we thought we’d beaten it after being given the all clear at Christmas and the subsequent quarterly scans.

However, he was admitted into hospital at the end of June with sickness and stomach pains, and after two weeks of testing was told that the cancer had returned, was very advanced and not operable.

For the last two weeks, Dad was at the Forest Holme hospice.
They went out of their way to make sure he was comfortable, relaxed, and not in pain, which is why I would like any donations to go to Forest Holme in lieu of flowers.

Dad was my role model, my absolute hero and my best friend.

I hope you will join me in celebrating his life, and remembering how amazing he was.
