I'm afraid I only heard today of Colin passing. I collected my last set of contact lenses from his wife Maureen at the practice, not knowing it was to be the last time.
Colin had been my only optician since I was 11. I am now 44, having resisted moving to a big chain or 'mainstream' opticians because of the personal touch of being with a small practitioner like Village Vision.
I wish to pass on my condolences to the family.
Thank you Colin for being a very important part of my life since I was that child who suddenly realised he couldn't see as well as he should be seeing, aged 11. You looked after me very well and I will be forever grateful.

Uncle Colin. Even though it has been many years since I've seen you. You will be sorely missed. Thanks for being such a fun and cheeky uncle when I was younger. Love Luke & the Australian Beesons
