In loving memory of John Richard (Dick) Shaw who sadly passed away on 1st August 2023
John Richard Shaw, fondly known to all as Dick, husband of Liz Shaw.
Dick passed away suddenly at home on August 1" 2023.
A self-employed businessman, producing hanging baskets and providing caravan storage to the local community, was still working at the age of 83.
Dick was a dearly loved father to Stephen & Julie, father-in-law of Jill & Darren.
Grandfather to Kimberley, Katie, Adam, Charlotte & Emily and also a great grandfather to five, Isaac, Eric, Sienna, Oscar & Isabelle.
Funeral service will take place at York Crematorium on Monday 21" August at @ 14:20. Family flowers only please. Any donations to ms society

What an honor it was to get to know you, it all started with the duck eggs, the best eggs ever. When you stopped the duck eggs, I managed to get them from elsewhere and deliver them to you every week. A few years down the line, my son Sean started helping you with jobs around your land and even drove your tractor.
I hope that you and Jack are back together watching your koi fish from above and are enjoying your beautiful garden and plants.
I will remember you everyday as I drive past your land to and from work.
Don't forget our Thursday 9 o'clock cheers!

Dick was a dearly loved father & grandad. I haven’t known him for very long but I quickly became very fond of him and thoroughly enjoyed our visits to his garden of paradise.
Dick, you asked me to do something for you, the answer is “of course, and always”. RIP x
