Peter James Whiting of Stowmarket, passed away peacefully at home on July 24th, 2023 aged 91 years. Dearly loved husband of Jenny, much loved dad to Ashleigh, Trudie and Kimberly and loving grandad to all his grandchildren. Funeral service at St Andrews Church, Great Finborough on Thursday 24th August, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Family flowers only please, but donations, if wished in aid of Diabetes UK can be made through Just Giving above or sent care of Andrew Bingham Independent Funeral Service, The Nutshell, Milton Road South, Stowmarket. 01449 771666.

Grandad was the kindest and wittiest person you could meet, filled with crafty wisdom! Endless lifts home from school filled with humbugs, many arts and crafts / gardening tips from our hours at model farm and the secret ingredient to being a good golf putter! Alongside lots of funny stories. Just a few examples of how Grandad will remain with us all forever! Rest in peace!

Zac - his only grandson, he loved your horse racing afternoons. You gave him your time and he valued that. He called you ‘my Zac’.

We will always remember the time when Peter replaced the glass in our front door when we locked our selves out.We only had the pleasure to meet Peter on a few occasions butthis was enough for the man to stay in our heads & hearts for ever .

We will treasure our memories of Uncle Peter. We have lived in Grinstead Gardens NM for over 40 years so we feel a link going back much longer. Jim Dorling has very happy memories of being neighbour to Edie and Peter.

Dear Uncle Peter, so sad to have lost you too. You and my dad John were such a pair of little rascals growing up together. Always ready for a laugh and a joke, never could keep a straight face. You made us laugh so much when we were little girls. We always loved seeing you. What a life well lived and loved. Love to all the family xxx
