Hi Tony and Sue. Thank you so much for lighting the candle. I'm so sorry not to have been in touch! My phone broke a while ago and I lost a lot of my numbers, including yours, so I had no way of contacting you. If you do go back onto this site and read this, and if you still have my number please do get in touch as I would love to catch up with you both again. Thank you for remembering Mum! She always enjoyed the banter, Tony! :)

  • Thank you so much, Kathryn, for your very kind words and generous donation. Mum had many wonderful Christmases, but the one she remembers really vividly is when, having lost her mum at such a young age, The Salvation Army knocked on the door and brought her and Auntie Pat some little gifts. Mum remembered playing with some little weighing scales and dolly mixtures. She never forgot their kindness. X

Dear Grandma,

I miss you so much, and all our jokes and conversations we had each day. I know how much The Salvation Army did for you when you were a little girl, giving you and Auntie Pat Christmas presents when you had nothing and had lost your mother so young. I hope that these donations will do as much good for other families as this charity did for you, almost 90 years ago.

Love you,

Laura xxx
