Growing up, we spent many happy times with uncle Richard in Kelfield and at home when he came to stay with grandma and grandad. You will be missed, rest in peace.

We (me and my sisters) spent many a Christmas and Easter with Uncle Richard as children. Often we would stay at his house and there is a photo I've always loved of us all on his stairs poking heads through different rungs on the spiral bars. He would always let us have a go in his tractor (until Laura almost crashed into the house!)
I remember being convinced the house had ghosts in but at the same time loved it and even based a gcse design project on it. So many happy memories of our great uncle along with my grandma and I Hope he is happily reunited with her and their other siblings now at peace. I will miss you Uncle Richard. Love Joanne

I’ve got such happy memories of my great Uncle Richard… staying at his house (which we’re sure is haunted!), driving his tractors (into the side of his house!), picking his fruit and vegetables, laughing at the huge hole he’d made in his salt pot, cringing at his super strong Yorkshire tea, watching me and my sisters opening Christmas presents, taking us to car boots and markets where we bought our psycho rabbit that we called Selby! I will always treasure these memories and will miss you Uncle Richard, lots of love Laura x x
