In loving memory of Ellen Patricia Neat who sadly passed away on 11th July 2023.

Ellen was born on 5th February 1937 and lived with her Mother Charlotte know as “Lotte”, Father Sidney known as “Sid” and with her siblings Enid, Zena, Muriel and Michael.

In 1957 Ellen had her first child Kevin. Ellen then married Ted Read in the 60s and went on to have a further two children; David in 1966 and Sharon in 1969.

Ellen loved her family, and was a very proud mother of Kevin, David and Sharon, grandmother to Gemma, Jamie, Jay, Brandon, Matt, Kellie and Joe and great grandmother to Kye, Harris and Freja.

Ellen was a very hard worker as she had to provide for her family and had a great career in catering and waitressing.

Ellen loved her garden and would be out there throughout the Summer each year.
She also loved flowers and going to Haskins.

Ellen would attend her local Bitterne Conservative Club every week where she would play bingo and card games with her close friends. Also enjoyed craft afternoons and playing bowling.

Ellen enjoyed seeing and spending time with her family & friends. She had a funny and caring personality and always had a smile upon her face.

Ellen will be missed by her family and friends.

Ellen always enjoyed working in Catering and later for our retired Partner Coffee Group as well. She must have poured thousands of cups of tea looking after her colleagues and always with a smile. She was very much missed after she 'retired' again. Fond memories.
