On 17th July 2023, at home following a short illness, aged 69 years, John, dearly loved partner of Katherine, much loved dad of Dom and Jamie and beloved son of the late Patrick and the late Olive Scanlon. Funeral service will take place at Dewsbury Moor Crematorium on Tuesday 8th August 2023 at 12.30pm.Relatives and friends please gather at the crematorium. Afterwards friends & family welcome at Dewsbury Moor Rugby Club. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu may be made online or placed in the collection box provided for the benefit the Kirkwood.

One of my dearest, oldest friends, John, what a sad day and a terrible shock it has been for us all. The hardest part was not being able to say goodbye to you, but we love you and had to respect your wishes right to the end, Katy myself and our children will look after each other until we meet again at the karaoke in heaven…❤️😘❤️😘xxx
